Hey pal,
I loved your essay on time travel. Very nicely done.
I believe in the possiblity of time traveling. My goal is to try it myself using
astral projections.
What are your thoughts on they way I want to time travel. I
must sound like a nut case for what I am saying but I just got to try it.
Well, be well friend. Thanks for some very good reading.

I had to visit this site when I saw the link with the name Buckley. I've
been researching the science of time travel for my own edification, but I
believe that time travel is possible, in either direction and that the machines
that may be developed to make this possible are not necessarily the only method
that would make it possible. Science often only explains what has happened
rather then instructing on what can happen.
Believing in God has no bearing on the topic as another poster suggested. Those
who hold to the Biblical God know that the Absolute has no time restrictions or
limitation. It's in the book! Time is a human experience, but believers know
they become released from it when they leave this world. Infinity is in itself
really timeless since it can't be measured.
It is my belief that people can time travel now. It is also my belief that few,
if any, do. I think time travel is into the past, not as you propose because it
is impossible to go into the future, but because for a person to travel in time
without a scientific aparatus, I belive gently that the person would need to
have some specific focus and a will for a specific time and place. It is
difficult to imagine a person releasing himself to the physical pain that would
necessarily be part of the transition and controling the mental will to let go
of time to go to what would be a completely unknown place. (The past we have
some knowledge of, but the future is unknowable.) If one did accomplish this
travel, could one be sure to return? This is a critical question. I doubt that
most individuals who would like to travel in time would be willing to do so
without a guaranteed round-trip ticket.
I was reading some articles on a new theory that says that light can control
time (speed of light is the key link to time)and that slower lights in circles
could create the wormhole for travel into other times and/or dimensions, but the
temperature needed for light to move that slowly would be so cold that humans
could not tolerate it. However, thinking of this makes me even more likely to
believe that time travel is likely to have been experienced already. There is
so much power in an everyday human being and his/her surrounding atmosphere that
anything is possible. The forces of nature, including our own bodies, minds and
souls, are so much more capable than we realize.
That's enough for now. Enjoyed the site.

I think that if time travel is possible, than it could stop the war in Iraq from happening. To affect the future, positively or negatively, you don't have to physically live in say 2006, or whenever, you just have to before that time do something to alter the course of events leading up to that date. There are so many ways you can improve the outcome of the future, just by changing your actions today. Who knows how many things you could think of if you just took the first step towards doing. I think that this has happened before, I know I have instances of deja vu almost every day, so I think that these events have happened before, and that people are becoming aware now of how things will turn out unless people take action to change the future by taking control of the present. Today, America doesn't know how it has sold itself out to Israel, but that may change tomorrow if you tell someone today that the Zionists are driving the war in Iraq. You wouldn't necessarily have to travel a month into the future just to change the course of history, what you do today might not much to do with the future, but some trivial detail of your life that has changed due to an action that you are already thinking about doing may greatly affect the future. Be positive and the sky's the limit.

me and my friend les are 16 and still in high school , we lead normal lives , and play in a punk band , yet we still are fascinated by temporal paradox and quantum physics , and also the pyramids and the "loopholes" with religion . i would like to hear your views on religion and i would like to share our theory on the pyramids , strange but very interesting none the less . my thoughts on time travel is that it is possible to a certain extent . back to the future and the movie the time machine are completely false because both would have caused a paradox and yet they always seem to slip by it . we think that time travel into the past may be possible to accomplish , but not possible to accomplish without a paradox, say you go 80 years into the past , and your granfather stops to look at you for a split second to gaze at your "strange" cloths . thus making him late to buy a cup of tea , trip with it , spill it on your future grandmother and making them never meet and fa! ll in love in the first place ...wouldn't you dissapear at that very moment , because they would not have you mom or dad , thus you were never concieved ????? strange ....and also , when you drive to wal-mart , you would age less than if you were to stay home because you are moving a very small fraction of the speed of light while in the car , and making you faster , and everything else slower . so you have time traveled in a sense , not enough to make a difference , yet still time traveling . and say we could somehow harness the power of traveling very very fast , lets say going to mars in 10 hours . on your clock you have aged 10 hours , but by the people still on earth years would have gone by . so when you get back , everything is different .????????
e-mail me back , i have many other things to share with you .

Hello, I have read some of your responses, and I must say, as someone who constantly dwells on the subject, I am very impressed with the number of theories I have read. However, I have some of my own. I look at Time as a streak just like finger painting, everything you see when its done is a product of the moves you made, whether you realize it or not! Time is still a force of nature! You cant tell the wind not to blow, just like you cant make time wait on you. there is a very fine line between the past and the future, a line that moves just as we are doing whatever. It's called the present, and it waits on no one! Here is my list of temporal paradox! 1.if you create a time machine to change the past, and then change it, the cause of your creation no longer exists! So, how can you use a machine that was never built to make the change. I call it a "Circle of Paradox" 2.Even if you could travel to the future, you would be in for a rude awakening when you got there! you would find you were either a missing person or presumed dead, presuming you went a great distance to the future! your future is nothing more than the result of your choice and since you chose to leave the present to go to the future, you did not exist in between points A and B so how could an older you be there? 3.the question remains: Do I return to the point where i left? My answer is "NO!" as i said before, time waits on no one! when you are gone you are still getting older and wiser! time travelers should consider their journey a trip! If you live in Indiana and spend Christmas in florida, you miss the family dinner that took place in your state! Therefore time travelers should keep track of the time they are gone, so they wont return to a present that is no longer there! Please give me some of your own insight into my theories.
Thank You and I have enjoyed your page..........
Tim

As I posed on another site with no answer yet. Why do we as humans preceive the SOL(speed of light) as the sole method of measuring time or for now time travel? Is it because we use sight as our main sense? Doesn't vision cease at SOL do to lack of any light? Shouldn't it be called The Speed of Time for all practical reasons or is that too confusing?
Time travel could be possible if the inventor went back and taught the previous self how to build the "machine". Paradox,eh. What would keep you from aging or degressing as you moved thru time if SOL is not the basis of time travel? Circle the world and arrive before you leave do you travel back in time? I'm just a layman in the theory and physics of time travel,SOL,or even physics itself so any reply make it simple.
One last thing, how about Adam and Eve,the writer of that story may have been a time traveler or met one. Lets see Atom(Adam)and Evolution(Eve),DNA(serpent"like"),what do you think? This idea is one of my orig! nial and best theories.
Thank You,
Pat

No big deal! first, is time travel really near to truth, or just further beyond reality? Its just that timetravel can be used if only it is in the state of public experiencing relations. Scientists studied about time travel, but will it be a big help to humans? Its been a long time since the scientists aim to discover the truth about time travel, but none of them has successfully obtained the answer. and wht if it has been discovered, came to reality and can be realy really done? Of course, it'll be exclusive for scientific and political pspecifications. Or some powerful personalities might get a bad hand on time machines, like commiting theift or something. Or may be the best way to perform crime, transport nuclear and biochemical weapons, or just cause another world war?!? Creepy! What would the world be in a tme travel ERA!
