NAME: Denny Schmidt E-MAIL: DennySchmidt2@msn.com LOCATION: Hotlanta Well Chuck I think that time travel is a reality or can be under the correct conditions. The problem presently is that most people don't understand time at all, they seem to think that it is a fourth dimension of space. That's a bit unrealistic because with that they are discounting gravity as part of the equation. The truth of the matter is the the three dimensions of our physical universe are time, space and gravity and until scientists can get a handle on that concept time travel or even travel to other star systems is going to be impossible. Do you want me to continue? If so send me an E-Mail! NAME: Keith E-MAIL: keh1044@excite.com LOCATION: NJ, USA "As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be -world without end, Amen." Hmmm. Was/Is/Shall be. I've been a sci-fi fan since I was old enough to read - Keith Laumer did some great TT stories, and the subject has always been one of my favorites through the years. Just recently I came across the John Titor archives, and that got me started again with some interesting thoughts; the multiverse, his "hall of mirrors" analogy, absence of paradox due to divergence of worldlines, and the quantum tenet "if it can be, it will be". So I think to myself, okay, you can go back into the past; not YOUR past, but a past that's similar enough that it doesn't matter. Does the divergence factor mean you can return to your ownworldline without violating the speed of light restriction? Oh, my aching head! Somewhere between Spec Relativity and Quantum theory is the answer; one works well for large things and the other for small - the answer lies in an area we've yet to fully explore. I thought about sitting in the "chair not made", and it occurs to me, if quantum theory is true, then it is already made, we're just not there yet: and if a machine like John Titor's can compute where/when the local gravity well will be at that point, could you not go there and have a seat? Whether we regard JT as real or not isn't relevant - the ideas he discussed sure caused a storm of TT interest, both pro and con. What's not addressed to a large degree are randomness and entropy. I wonder if those factors might be limitations on predictable travel through time? Great site - I'm looking forward to exploring more, thanks. NAME: Lea Spencer E-MAIL: lea@oceanwaves.co.uk We all know that one day time travel will be possible, I've been reading reports from the US showing that slowing down beams of light could make a wormhole in space. This slowing down of light as all ready been done in the US. Slow it down from 330,0000 per second to an all most stop, But at the moment this would not be impossible for anyone to enter the light because of the temp - zero. And another thing I’ve looked at myself, is the grandfather theory. if you went back to kill your grandfather, you would not exist so how could you go back. So I think that if someone did go back in time they would not be able to interact with any person or objects because they don't exist. If the matter came that you could interact, then we are now living a lie and somewhere in our future there is a war in time, Because we are a nation of animals and where there is rule there is blood shed. and there would be many time lines where history was altered. Now we have all had that feleing that you have done that before or seen that person be before, has this got something to do with time lines are they crossing over? So really what would we use this all for? rule, or righting the things we have destroyed. There is a lot we can learn from our past and at the moment time travel is done through history books and computers. But one day our children will be able to visit their great grandfather, but only as a spectator. Lets do hope this technology lands in the right hands for all our sake. I'm interresting in matter of time travel, UFO -s, space and similary things. By my oppinion, it is no doubt that "future" is a quastion of choice. How ? Just like you perfect explain in story of small rock founded on "our" way. Let be more dramaticaly: what will happend with any of us in case if our parents have not met eachother in "past" ? Just second is enough to go near by someone with out any action and possible human beans will never born: some scientist, maybe new Einstein ? ... Just think about! The same is with our presents and existence. Are, because of that, possible a parallel worlds and models of presents? What about of phenomen of "deja vue"? Many of us have such sensationall expirience: You look arround and at once you realize that every thing, whole situation is "familiar" to you even you can predict what will "happend"! Don't you haved allready such similary expirience? Who isn't ?! What is that then an ordinary projection of TIME TRAVEL! It's just a positive consequence of our future expirience of our selves. But HOW are we recorded in our mind something that did NOT happend jet from our "present" point of view!? Many answers I think are in fact that most common people use only 6-8% of brain capacity and skills. It is well known that the most famous scientist haved use mostly 9-12% of their brain possibylites. There are so many secrets in our brain and who knows what we will able to do and create if can be only in situation to use for example a 25% of its capacity and skills. This thema is so wide end comlex that is not possible to even touch the "surface" of that in this short review... I am currently in the works on a time travel novel which is a three parter and I was using your site, amung others, for notes on the technical aspects of time travel. If you could help me out that'd be great. -Erik Dreiling NAME: Kayleigh E-MAIL: Ysubmarine02@aol.com LOCATION: Fairfax, Virginia It Could Fun if I go back to 1984 & Never Coming back To The Present. NAME: monil shah E-MAIL: monilboom@yahoo.com LOCATION: mumbai, india TIME TRAVEL IS AN EXCELLENT RESEARCH SUBJECT. AND MAKING IT POSSIBLE IN THIS PERIOD OF TECHNOLOGY WOULD BE OUTSTANDING. I AM TOO MUCH INTERESTED TO KNOW THIS TOPIC FROM THE SCREATCH. ALSO I WOULD LIKE TO EXPLAIN THE RESEARCH WORK TO MY COLLEGIATES. SINCE I AM A FINAL YEAR I.T. ENGINEERING STUDENT, I WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL IF U GUIDE ME TO PREPARE A BASIC REPORT PN THIS TOPIC. "WAITING FOR YOUR KIND RESPONSE AT THE EARLIEST" |
