I love discussing things like this. Dear Chuck: After reading your intro item on your link site my response is to point you to something called the "Preliminary Probable Self Exercise." It appears in Jane Robert's Seth book entitled _The 'Unknown" Reality Volume II_ but can also be found on the web in several places, including http://www.realitytest.com/doors.htm (it's Exercise 2.). A key difference between the Many World interpretation of QM and Seth's explanations of the nature of reality (peppered with exercises to enable the reader to validate the material with direct experience) is the existence of what Seth calls _entity_. Entity is somewhat like the religious idea of 'soul' but not identical; different probable selves, each in their own probable reality, are inwardly connected to the same entity. This connection can be opened, consciously, and used to connect one probable self to another (otherwise the exercise wouldn't work). The exercise can enable a form of personal knowing, but as this is entirely subjective, there is no way I can think of to "prove" it, knowing and "proving" often being two entirely different experiences. Some have read and commented on the exercise without actually doing it, imagining that it deals strictly with the imagination -- while the imagination is invoked by the exercise, the experience is anything but imaginary, as they would have realized had they actually done it. Bill Ingle Magnolia, MA I am "attacking" this "thing" (I assume you meant the cosmos?) from a non-linear perspective as we speak... (Well, no - actually I am on a break right NOW. ;) Hilarity notwithstanding... I *am*. Just who will "win", isn't clear at the moment. I hope it's the cosmos - such as I envisage - and hope - it to be. And I am determined to go the full length. To surrender. No time machines, of course. Not only are they pedestrian and boring, they are - I think - totally unnecessary. I am fighting the greatest battle of my life: the battle to SURRENDER. Nothing else is of interest to me. I don't want to go on living in this particular time-line. I'll find LIFE - or I'll find death (whatever it is). Either will be preferable to THIS. So... am I in a win-win situation? My delusional Self says YES. My analytical Self has become wise enough to say I DON'T KNOW. And herein lies my strength - my ONLY strength: in my own human "weakness". Until we meet again. ;) P.S.: Those "5 or 6 respondents' text on page 12" that you allegedly lost... They weren't there at all. Wrong timeline. -;) NassTee |
